Avita of Needham

Avita of Needham is the first of a planned portfolio of assisted living facilities dedicated to providing memory care services. Building off shared experiences in memory care development, Sandy River Company, in collaboration with Northbridge Communities in Burlington, has plans to develop several free-standing assisted living memory care centers in suburban Boston and one in Greater Portland, Maine. Avita of Needham, nestled within a quaint residential area, is scheduled to open in 2011.

Working in partnership with Northbridge Companies, Sandy River Company is providing project development consulting services to the ownership team. The name Avita translates to “For Life,” and was inspired by the owners desire to create a safe and fulfilling environment where nurturing caregivers recognize each resident as a special and unique individual.
